iPod - First the Music, Next the Photos
First it was music, and it was great, then there were photos, and it was excellent, now its videos and movies then it became fantastic.
After four generations, the iPod is now truly a complete multimedia. With so much fanfare and anticipation, iPod finally released its iPod video capable of playing movies for your viewing pleasure.
You now not only would be able to spend countless hours of listening to music, you can also play the movies that you want to see. Relieve those memories on the road with your downloaded home movies. Be able to share them easily with your friends and relatives. All you have to do is plug in your iPod in a television set and you’re good to go.
Sharing videos and movies have not been this easier. You can also transfer those movie files from one computer to one another. Just by simply plugging them in a dock. With the new features of the iPod, you won’t need to bring different gadgets for your photos, music and movies anymore. But it’s not just about downloading the video.
The iPod uses their own video format so you still have to convert your movies if you want to be able to watch them on your iPod. They play MP4 and M4V file formats.
For those who are still in the dark on how to put your movies in your iPod, her is a step by step procedure on how to do it:
1. First, you have to make sure that the video is in the MP4 or MPEG4 file format. If not, you have to download a video converter to do this task.
There are lots of video converters for free in the internet for you to download. After downloading, install your video converter. Generally, they have the same methods on how to convert a different video file format to MPEG4.
• From the drop down file menu, click on open file, go to the folder where your chosen file is, and open it.
• Choose the format wherein you want your video to be converted to. You can do this in the options menu. You should choose MPEG4 or MP4 as the file format.
• Then you know have the option of choosing which parts or segments of the movie you want to save and convert. You can just click on the starting point of the movie, there is usually a progress bar in the program, and where you want it to end. If you want to convert the whole movie then there is no need to do that.
• Choose the folder where you want to converted file to go, then convert.
2. Then go to iTunes, this is the software bundled with your iPod with the CD that comes with the package. Once iTunes is open, just click add file to the library, this can be found in the file menu. There you will select the folder where your converted movie is.
3. Plug your iPod video to your computer.
4. Open up a window for your iPod then just drag and drop the file to transfer it. 5. You may now test the movie by watching it in your iPod. Then you may now enjoy watching the movie in your iPod anytime and anywhere. Then there you have it.
With some accessories, you can share the videos with all your friends and families. If you have a large capacity hard disk, you can enjoy many hours of movies and videos in your iPod.

iPod Accessories Market
The large accessories market that has built up around the iPod is sometimes described as the iPod ecosystem. A host of different companies produce accessories that are designed to work with the iPod. Companies such as JBL, Bose, Altec Lansing, and Kensington all make speakers that are designed specifically to work with the iPod, using the iPod's thirty pin dock connector.
Other companies, such as Griffin Technology and Monster Cable, make add-ons that allow the iPod to record sound, recharge "on the go," play music over the radio, or be used wirelessly with a remote.
One of the most useful iPod accessories is a protective case which protects your iPod's screen and back from scratches and scuffs. Cases come either in clear or in a number of colors to match your style and personality. With Apple's release of the iPod Nano and the iPod Video, iPods are becoming more and more popular. They're wonderful little gadgets, but they become even more useful with one of many iPod accessories that can personalize your mp3 player and tailor it to your needs.
Another way to protect and carry your iPod is with an arm band, which makes it easy to rock out to your music while working out at the gym. On the way home, instead of sitting through the chatter of radio DJs in traffic, you can listen to your iPod in your car. Various FM transmitters can allow you to listen to your iPod on your car stereo, and power adapters let you plug in for the long haul. No more screwing around with racks of tapes or CDs in your car in order to listen to your music; now thousands of songs are at your fingertips.
These transmitter/power combinations can be the perfect iPod accessory for long commutes or cross-country road trips. Once you make it back to your home or apartment you can drop you iPod into a speaker set and listen to your music at home too. Many speaker combos are compatible with the iPod base station, which charges your iPod and allowsyou to connect it to your home stereo or television.
Of course, the new iPods with video and photo capabilities allow for a wholenew host of iPod accessories. A/V cables allow you to share photos directly from your digital camera to your iPod, and allow you to connect your iPod to your television to transport your movies and show them on the big screen. You can even get a wireless remote to incorporate your iPod into your home stereo or theatre, putting thousands of songs, videos, and photos at your fingertips.
Other iPod accessories expand the boundaries of what you thought your iPod could do. The Griffin iTalk allows you to take voice and audio recordingsleaving yourself audio with your iPod, making it a handy tool for tasks from reminders to dictating letters and documents directly to mp3 files. With the hundreds of iPod accessories on the market, you can quickly turn any iPod into your iPod and have a customized mp3 player to fit all of your needs.

They're here, They're everywhere
They're everywhere, and not only are they everywhere, they look cool too. Since its launch in 2001, 10 million have sold and 8 million of those were in 2004. So welcome to the next generation. 8 tracks, records, cassettes, CDs, and now the iPod.
I don't have one, yet. My first taste of it came when my girlfriend got one, and asked if I would set it up for her using my computer. Wearing those now immediately recognizable hip cream coloured headphones, I could feel the eyes of every have-not-an-iPod on me with curiosity and maybe a little jealousy. I even started walking differently. Listening to Led Zeppelin, then Radiohead, and then some Bob Marley on my way to school, there was definitely more spring in my step, and I sat through class in a much better mood than usual.
For a mere two days it was in my possession and immediately I could feel myself being sucked into its cult. And why wouldn't you' An iPod lets you put 10,000 songs inside something the size of a pack of cigarettes. Gone are the heavy, fragile CD cases and the Discman that skips after each step. Is the iPod changing the way we listen to music' Undeniably.
With an iPod, we can take our music anywhere, and not just one album like we could with the walkman. Now we can carry our entire collections everywhere we go. It can play mixes at parties. You can bring it on the commute to work or for a jog. You can save Microsoft Word documents on it and photos for that matter. Don't like a particular song on an album' Delete it.
Thanks to the iPod, music has become an even bigger part of our lives because now it's just a click away, and it's exactly how we want it. Apart from the possibility of our entire collections being with us at all times, the iPod's capabilities have done something even better. By being able to store over 700 albums, the iPod is encouraging us to try types of music we might not have listened to before.
When burning a CD to an iPod takes a short few minutes, what's there to lose' But is it all just a trend' Doubtful, especially with people spending on average 100 pounds on iPod accessories. It's difficult to picture something people now say they can't live without vanishing, unless the new Apple CEO finds another way to outdo themselves yet again. And on that note now Apple has come out with the smaller, cheaper version of the iPod called the iPod shuffle. Will it have the same impact as its predecessor' Only time will tell.

Portable Digital Media Player
The iPod is a portable digital media player designed and manufactured by Apple Computers. The standard iPod model stores media on a built in hard drive while the smaller iPod Shuffle and iPod nano uses flash memory.
The iPod has became the world's best selling digital audio player since its launch in 2001. An IPod can play MP3, WAV, AAC/M4A, Protected AAC, AIFF, Audible audio book and Apple Lossless audio file formats.
The fifth generation iPod can now play m4v and mp4 video files. With this addition, the iPod has become a complete multimedia player. Apple designed the iPod to work with the iTunes media library software, which allows users to manage the music libraries on their computer and on their iPod.
To add up to the excitement of its feature, users may also set a rating of up to five stars on any song. This will allow them to remember which ones they like or which ones have the best quality. It also features some games for example the Parachute wherein the player controls a turret and attempts to shoot down paratroopers and the helicopters that released them. This game is similar to Apple II version of the game Sabotage by Mark Allen.
Another is the solitaire, a simple card game that resembles the Klondike solitaire card game. There is also the Music Quiz, The game plays a portion of a random song and the player must identify it form the list of five. The faster the player had identified the song, the higher his score will be.
No record is kept of the score and there is no limit to the amount of songs played. This is now possible because of the capabilities of the fifth generation of iPod to play videos.
For the meantime, the iPod video could only support MP4 and Mpeg4 video formats. So if you want to load videos to your iPod, you need to convert the videos first if they are not in the supported format yet.
This is not a problem since there are many video converters and softwares available in the internet for download to do the job. But with Apple’s dedication to keep the number one spot in the iPod’s segment in the market, it will be sure that the soon enough more innovations will be produced to allow more file formats to be played.
Now you will be able to share your videos and movies with many people easier than ever. You can also transfer files and videos from your office computer to your home computer and vice versa or to any computer. You can bring your favorite music videos of your favorite artists anytime and anywhere.
You can also load your favorite movies or your home movies as well. Take it with you to family reunions, parties and meeting up with long lost friends. Need to have a bigger view? You can plug it into a television and see it in a bigger screen.
With the right accessories, you can elevate the performance and capabilities of your iPod video.
Hook it up with a special AV cable to your TV for a bigger view or you can hook it up in your car for battery charging and using the stereo system of your car.
To listen to the audio of your movies better, you can plug them as well to a portable iPod speaker. Not only one person would be able to listen to the audio of your videos. The iPod video, a new evolution for Apples premiere product.

Apple iPod Nano
Apple is easily the most well known name in MP3 players or personal music players. The iPod has taken the music world by storm and each time a new one is released it seems to break all previous barriers. Initially, they were slightly larger than their counterparts but they were hard drive based and so held thousands and thousands of songs but with the introduction of the iPod Nano this soon became a thing of the past.
The iPod Nano uses Flash based memory and so it is infinitely smaller. In fact, it is as thin as a pencil. The iPod is popular for a reason though. As well as being durable and very advanced it features access to iTunes. ITunes is the Internet’s largest music store and allows iPod users to download tracks to their computer or to their MP3 player.
ITunes has also become huge in terms of popularity. The 2GB Nano allows the storage of up to around 500 songs, the 4GB Nano 1,000 songs. They are both available in either black or white and despite their miniature size they are hardy and resistant to general wear and tear. With predictions that the next iPod to be released will be the video iPod, Apple once again look certain to take the portable media device to yet another level. Buying an iPod now also requires buying into an iPod.
Those who own them love them, but there are some that are skeptical due to its price being quite high compared to other MP3 players and the fact that they feel they are paying for the Apple brand.
However, the iPod is an excellent personal audio player and you will have to go a long way to find one that is as good and offers a service similar to iTunes.

Listen to Music with Ipod
Isn’t it a whole lot better if you listen to music that comes from a full rounded source? There are a lot of reasons why people listen to the music. One is in order to relieve tension because music as they say can heal your soul and probably for others, simply for fun.
Whatever reason you may have, the bottom line is you’d prefer to listen to high quality music and sounds. This is where iPod made a killing, not only does it look good, it offers great quality music.
There are so many iPod products already in the market that you can choose from; each of them offers an incomparable convenience. The products are made portable and handy so that you won’t find it difficult to lug around wherever you may go.
You have the new iPod nano that keeps you grooving because of the thousands of songs that it can handle in such a small frame, and now here is another product that will elevate its performance, the iPod speaker.
Clearly speaking, the speaker is an equipment that helps neutralize the sound that is produced by your VCD, DVD and other equipments. However, there are various kinds of speakers that are presented in the market. Some are credible and quality tested but others are not.
For the iPod, there are numerous high quality speakers available. To thoroughly describe the feature, the sound that comes out from iPod speakers are guaranteed to be clear, crisp and bright, as if you are listening to an actual band. Another good thing about this is because it has the capacity to handle loud volumes.
There is no need for you to worry about the sound breaking if ever you prefer to maximize its volume, because the sound will not distort at all. The iPod speaker creates a quality sound because this type of equipment is made with an upgraded technology that results to a good bass frequency without the use of the subwoofer.
Another new feature with some iPod speakers is the use and availability of a remote control. Prior to this, you had to stand up and move towards your speaker just to fix the volume. Certain digital music has different qualities that can be conducive to different levels of volume. But now, all you need is to relax, point the clicker to your iPod speaker and get the right mix of volume and sound.
Another important feature is the auto shutdown. It is a big energy saver for your batteries. Some iPod speakers are being offered in several shapes and sizes, and like the iPod, some of them are diminutive but they pack a wallop in performance. You can place it anywhere in your house where you can best listen to. Aside from being an energy conserver, the iPod speaker is also a space-saver. Aside from the homes, an iPod can be integrated with an iPod speaker for outdoor use.
This is great for picnics, a day in the beach and for outdoor adventures. Share your favorite tunes with all your friends and family with the help of the iPod speaker. There are so many more features that the iPod speaker can give you.
You can look for more groundbreaking music technology to make the iPod more convenient. The latest innovations are always towards the customers’ expediency and satisfaction.

* Click wheel scratches
* iPod screen scratches.
* Mirrored back scratches.
Despite the superiority of the Apple iPod, it still suffers from some major issues. Being easily scratched and short battery life. These issues lower the resale value of an iPod. iPod leather cases are also extremely popular. Unfortunately people have reported that the Apple branded one scratches the mirror back and does not have a cover flap. Water and Shock Resistant Cases.
There is an increasing need for these types of cases due to our active and mobile lifestyles. There are a plethora of cases in this market also but be forewarned that a case can only be water resistant not water proof. Water resistant means it can withstand water splashes certainly not to be immersed in water and definitely you would not bring diving!
There are many aluminum cases available that offer superb shock resistance. With the new knowledge you have, you are now ready to find the case that best fits your needs and most importantly your style! Happy case hunting.

What To Look When Buying iPod Accessories
Music fans have celebrated ever since IPOD was released. It does not just give them music on the go but plenty of flexibility. Owning an IPOD means unlimited digital music to fill your soul. You can fill it with songs from CDs you own, from online music sites that offer free downloads or exchanges, and from Apples own innovation iTunes for as little as 99cents.
A music lover can pay for just one song that he likes and does not have to purchase a whole CD. And since IPOD supports MP3 a person can purchase songs from a consumer friendly store like MP3tunes.com.
But the battle that rages in the music industry is about copyright protection and loss of revenue. The question is whether the music industry should move forward and allow consumers to transfer music to portable devices without restrictions.
The design of the IPOD is such that it promotes legal purchase and downloading of music around the globe. In three years IPOD owners have purchased 1 billion songs from iTunes stores world over. It is not just consumers who benefit.
Artists can choose to distribute their music world wide through iTunes. Any artist who has not signed a contract with a major or independent record label can present their music to the world by approaching Apple affiliates like iFanz.com or CCBABY.com.
The artist stands to gain as he or she will get 91% of the income. The IPOD can be used for more than music. IPODs can contain orientation material for freshmen entering college; students can use IPODs to download academic course material, notes, as well as audio books.
IPODs are for people on the move; you can store music as well as videos and take off. If you own CDs you can load them onto the IPOD or use music from iTunes or other internet sites. The music is pure, does not skip, and it is yours. IPODs have changed the rules of the music industry. Digital technology has taken music forward but has also created problems with enforcement of copyright and generation of revenues.
There are problems of music swapping, free downloads, piracy, and CDs being borrowed from libraries and burned or copied for use on IPODS and computers. The future seems unrestricted and gurus predict that giants like Amazon.com will launch by end 2006 digital distribution of music and movies.
With the boom of the World Wide Web, experts expect the online music industry to show unprecedented growth in the next 4-5 years. The internet is a key distribution point for music and music downloads and subscription services are expected to exceed sales of CDs.
PricewaterhouseCoopers estimate that digital music will account for over 40% of US music sales in five years. So, while IPODs and the new avatar that music has taken will be sweet to music lovers and buyers it is definitely sour or a threat to many giants of the music world.
Sadly big players in the music business viewed the World Wide Web as an arch enemy. And now thanks to the success of IPOD and iTunes, the industry is acknowledging that music buffs will pay for legal music online. IPODs have revolutionized music and literally the industry has changed “tracks.”

Converter Ipod Video: Taking Portable Video Viewing To A Whole New Level
So, you’ve holed up in your cavern for two and a half days playing halo and everything’s been going great. But, the problem is that you ran our of red bull and your roommate has been waiting to vacuum under the spot that you’ve been residing.
It’s time to move, but you need to keep playing. Drat, this world and all its injustices! Not so fast battleship galactica, there just may be a way out of your predicament. Downloadable iPod games.
As of yet, you’re still shooting parashooters jumping out of planes and still trying your luck (and wit, I’m sure) at solitaire; but things are about to change. Apple has remained fairly quiet about the software and possibilities that are awaiting the next evolution in iPods, but there are some reasonably trustworthy rumblings out there that downloadable iPod games are on the way.
There has been a lot of talk about an Eden Praries based company that would be in charge of getting the software together for Apple in order for the downloadable games to run. Just the idea alone makes a lot of sense for Apple, as what can they do next to top the functions of the 5th gen iPod, without using downloadable games?
And I don’t know who said that necessity was the mother of all invention, but the never faced the competition of computer hackers. There’s a plethora of hacks out there that are available to hook you up with 3rd party software that can currently make iPod downloadable games a reality. But, if you’re a little shy and feel a bit uncomfortable with doing illegal business with a guy that’s sat in his basement for longer than you, there’s no problem, because Apple is already on the job.

Turn You iPod Into A Theatre With Your Favorite Movies On Your iPod
Did you ever see that movie with Sir Anthony Hopkins when he was a primatologist and he was doing work out in the jungle when he befriended a group of silverbacks? Well, what happens is that these bastard gorilla poachers come by and attack the group.
What do you know but, the gorillas and Hopkins(!) fight back and kill a couple of the poachers. He goes to an insane asylum and the great silverback goes to the zoo. Mind you, this thing was fierce and desired freedom more than any star and stripe waving, apple pie eating red-stater could even fathom. But, once he’s in the zoo for so long, when they finally open his cage, he’s too broken to attempt to walk out.
Well, that’s like me. Blinking is sometimes too much effort. But, just today I ran across something that has put the glimmer back in my eye. If you like movies and you ave an ipod photo, then let’s talk.
Ipod movies are now within the reach of us serfs and peasants, albeit with a little work. Because, the fact of the matter is, ipod movies are not in the realm of ipod photo, no, basically it’s for photos. But some tenacity and a desire to watch oddly paced, effort draining clips and you’ve got yourself a movie night.
You’ll need to get yourself set up with quicktime pro, itunes and your ipod, of course. Now you’re going to take your movie, I would probably start with something short, like those clips you download from the internet.
Get it in your computer and export the clip. Put the sound in your itunes, and then (here’s the great part) put all the thousands of individual frames in your ipod photo.
Now you get the volume rolling and use the click wheel to scroll through all the frames…and you are watching ipod movies my friend. Technology is beautiful, take advantage, man, take advantage.

The iPod Video Player: Another New Innovation To An Already Innovative Device
IPOD movies is a great choice for getting the latest and best movies quickly and without the hassles of traveling to the video rental location. There are a lot of locations right on the web that can provide you with the best of the best for much less. There are several locations that do offer a wide range of choice when it comes to IPOD movies.
Some offer more than others or they offer a better quality product. It will take a little looking to find the most affordable choice that is also the one that has what you would like to download. Once you find the right location for your IPOD movies, you can easily and quickly (it seems almost instantly) download them to your PC, your notebook, or you can check out iPod movie downloads as well.
There are specific services that are available to provide you with the ability to get great quality movies on your iPod. If you choose iPod movies, you can find the right location to download from on the web to your iPod, take the movies with you wherever you decide to go and, if you like them; you can even burn them to CD.
No matter if you choose iPod movies or find a few great movies to download to your PC, there are many services that are providing this ability to you. If you are skilled, you can even find a few iPod movie downloads or free movie downloads to tap into as well.
Of course, to get the best products available, you may want to go with a paid service. It also pays for you to take your time in checking out a few of the services for their fees and their membership details.
With so much competition out there, you are sure to find a great deal being offered to new members. Movie downloads are quickly becoming the best way to get the movies you want to see quickly. I have put a link at the top of my web site for a super place to get unlimited Ipod Movies.

What iPod Is For You?
The ipod is a renowned brand of portable digital media player designed and marketed by Apple Computer. The ipod is currently the world's best-selling digital audio player. The ipod family devices provide a simple user interface designed around a central scroll wheel, with the exception of the ipod shuffle.
The majority of ipod models store media on a built-in hard drive, while the smaller ipod shuffle and ipod nano use flash memory. An ipod, like most digital audio players, can serve as an external data storage device when connected to a computer. The discontinued versions of the ipod include two generations of the popular ipod mini and four generations of the full-sized ipod, all of which had monochrome screens except for the fourth-generation ipod with color screen, which was previously sold as ipod photo before it replaced the monochrome ipod in the top line. As of December 2005, the lineup consists of the fifth-generation ipod that can play videos, the ipod nano that has a color screen, and the ipod shuffle; all three iterations were released in 2005.
The bundled software used for uploading music, photos, and videos to the ipod is called iTunes. iTunes is a music jukebox application that stores a comprehensive library of the music on a user's computer, as well as being able to play and rip it from a CD. The most recent incarnations of ipod and iTunes have video playing and organization features. Other forms of data can be added to ipod as if it were a normal data storage device.
ipod or ipods is the most frequently searched keyword online. There are numerous websites offering tons of valuable information on video ipod, ipod accessories, used ipods and cheap ipod. Some sites offer ipod blog, ipod reviews, ipod news and ipod articles.
These ipod blogs, reviews, articles, news and other information are very helpful to the potential ipod customers. The guys planning to buy ipod products are advised to go through these online sources and read ipod reviews before buying any ipod product.
