A Review Of The Apple iPhone 5 Specifications

It is widely anticipated that Apple's newest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5, will be launched in October. The imminent launch has got a lot of rumors floating around about the design and specifications and everyone wants to be the first to know!
iPhone 5 will have a tough time keeping up with the success of iPhone 4. iPhone 4 had initial reception issues; however since then it has been selling pretty strongly as evidenced by the sales of Verizon and AT&T, the two carriers currently offering it.
It should be said that the iPhone 5 specifications are rumored to be pretty impressive. Hence it might be well worth the wait in case you are planning on picking up an iPhone.
It is stated that much care has gone into the iPhone 5 design to make it pretty unique. One of the first rumors states that iPhone 5 will take the shape of a great teardrop, thereby making it the slimmest iPhone till date. It is also speculated that Apple will replacing the glass back that featured in iPhone 4 with a more sturdy and lasting aluminum instead.
Many of the Android phones these days make use of a dual core processor, and it will be no wonder if Apple's iPhone 5 follows suit. It is rumored that Apple iPhone 5 will make use of a quality A5 processor, the same that is used in iPad 2. This important upgrade will no doubt help the iPhone 5 for operating on a much faster and broader scale.
It is believed that Apple iPhone 5 will be sporting an 8.0 megapixel camera having a dual flash. This is definitely an enhancement to the better compared to the 5.0 megapixel camera sported by iPhone 4. iPhone 5 can now compete with many Android phones when it comes to the camera feature.
One another great feature anticipated in iPhone 5 will be the iCloud. iCloud offers the users the facility to store their pictures, music and any other data in a virtual cloud. This enables the phone's memory capacity to be free for other applications. It is believed that 5GB of cloud space would be provided free for all the iPhone users, and it is possible to get increased storage by paying an annual fee.
iOS 5 is yet another great feature offered by iPhone 5. iOS 5 is reportedly expected to be a revolutionary operating system that will completely transform the iPhone. It will include Newsstand and iMessage and as well improve the system for notifications, thus not interrupting you when you are busy working on something in your phone. It is no wonder that users will relish these features. iOS 5, incidentally, also works on the 3GS and iPhone4 models.
And here is one of the most speculated things about iPhone 5 - it is strongly rumored that iPhone 5 is a SIM-less device. iPhone 5 is reportedly manufactured with multiple internal antennas. This would allow users across the world to use iPhone 5 in both the CDMA wireless or GSM network.

Apple iPhone Parts

If like many iPhone users, you've discovered that malfunctioning Apple iPhone parts can be a real chore. The decision whether to send an iPhone off to an authorized service center, or simply buy a new one, can put the wallet somewhere between a rock and a hard place. Even if it is cheaper to repair, it might not make any sense to continue with a semi-damaged phone in lieu of a new one for the price. Instead of getting down, it's best to get an idea of what some of the other options are. By finding other users selling broken or damaged iPhones, or even just Apple iPhone parts, it can be easier than you think to fix a broken iPhone- and certainly more economical. Today, Apple iPhone parts are available for low prices, for both the 1st Generation iPhone and the new iPhone 3G model. The same applies to iPods, and other pesky electronic devices. With fairly simple replacement procedures, the average iPhone user should consider a parts replacement before plunking down last month's paycheck for a new product.
Some of the most common problems to face iPhone users are that the LCD screen is of poor condition, rendering the iPhone unusable, that the iPhone has become water damaged, that the battery will not charge or hold charge, that the iPhone has a broken or cracked screen, and that the iPhone won't power on. Instead of tossing the phone out, especially for broken or cracked screens or faulty batteries, make an easy and cheap replacement with used or wholesale Apple iPhone parts. Maybe a repair is covered by a warranty, or maybe not. Regardless, keep all your options open when it comes to electronics repairs. With easy online how-to tutorials and extremely affordable replacement Apple iPhone parts, there's never any need to panic when accidents happen. A phone wouldn't be practical if we could never take it anywhere with us. Our lives demand going to work, the gym, socializing, sporting events, conferences, on business trips and much, much, more. Even with the somewhat fragile nature of the iPhone, there's no need to fear knowing it is possible to get Apple iPhone parts without breaking the bank.
On the other end of the issue? Have a broken iPhone that you just can't seem to get rid of? Why not try selling it for parts. Apple iPhone parts are increasingly in demand, and it could be a great way to get a little cash advanced on your next technological purchase, whether it be an iPhone or not. If not up to the challenge of disarming an old iPhone, try using a company or service that buys old, used, broken and damaged electronic goods. Most of these companies can be found online, will surely buy used Apple iPhone parts, and will trade you for cash. With little to no effort it is entirely possible for some good to come out of an iPhone that has been the best thing you've ever owned or the bane of your existence- but for whatever reason has ceased to function.
Whatever you decide to do with an used, old, broken or damaged iPhone, get online to research how people everywhere are benefitting from buying and selling Apple iPhone parts today!

From logic boards to LCD screens to back covers, http://www.iPhonepartspro.com has everything you need to get your phone back in great shape. With a full line of iPhone repair parts.

Does The Apple iPhone Measure Up To Its Hype?

The hype machine for the Apple iPhone was in full swing right up to its official launch on June 29, 2007. During the run up to its launch, Apple shrewdly whetted the public's appetite for the iPhone by showing off it's alluring design while keeping many details about the iPhone shrouded in mystery. So what is the iPhone exactly and more importantly, is it all Apple says it is?
The Apple iPhone is actually three devices in one: a cell phone, a wide screen iPod, and a wireless Internet device. It measures in at 4.5" x 4" x 0.46" and weighs in at 4.8 ounces. Not exactly small, but the iPhone has a pretty slim profile, which further adds to its appeal.
The core of the Apple iPhone is its 3.5" touch screen. The touch screen of the iPhone has caused more than a little controversy. A touch screen provides no tactile feedback, which can make users less secure about what they enter on it. Apple is confident that once users get accustomed to the iPhone's touch screen then all will be good. However, hardcore critics remain unconvinced that the touch screen will be without its problems. The area of greatest concern is users who rely heavily on texting. Will they be able to whip out short text messages on the iPhone's touch screen without stumbling?
The Apple iPhone of course is also an iPod, which will play both MP3 music files downloaded from iTunes as well as video files. The iPhone syncs like an iPod to either a Mac or a PC. However, users will not be able to wirelessly download files from iTunes. This will require a physical connection to a computer.
The cell phone portion of the iPhone supports quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900), thus making it a true "world phone" capable of working in the US, Europe, and Asia. On the data side, the iPhone uses 2.5G EDGE technologies. However, the multimedia features of the iPhone would be better served by the broadband capabilities of 3G networks, such as UMTS and HSDPA, which interestingly enough, AT&T now supports. One saving grace is that the iPhone will come with built-in WiFi to access high-speed Internet connections.
The iPhone's battery is rated for 8 hours of talk time and 6 hours of Internet use. The battery talk time was initially rated for 5 hours, but was upgraded by Apple prior to release of the iPhone. This will make it the longest lasting cell phone battery second only to some Sony Ericsson cell phones. The iPhone is rated for 24 hours of audio playback and the battery can retain its charge in standby mode for up to 10 days.
Additional features include a 2 Mega-pixel digital, which is a high enough resolution to produce some crisp digital photos. The iPhone also supports BlueTooth technology. A feature that the iPhone will not support initially is GPS. This may disappoint some potential customers, but a workable alternative is to access Google Maps via the built-in Safari browser for your navigation needs.
A particularly cool feature of the iPhone, that may also prove to be very functional, is a series of built-in sensors that detect how you're holding the iPhone. A proximity sensor knows when you bring the phone to your ear and will dim the screen and shut off the touch screen. There's an ambient light sensor that adjusts brightness to save battery power, and there's even an accelerometer that knows when to switch between landscape and portrait mode. Pretty slick, huh?
As of this writing, it's not possible to say for sure how the Apple iPhone will catch on with consumers. However, given Apple's track record for producing life-changing products such as the Mac and iPod, as well as a brilliantly executed marketing campaign, the smart money is on the Apple iPhone being a huge seller, perhaps in the same league as the iPod.

Apple iPhone 4 reviewed

Apple iPhone 4 promised to change everything again. Launched in June 2010, certainly achieved its mission, and here is why. With the launch of the first iPhone in 2007, Apple has maintained the trend of an annual update in adopting the iPhone 3 G in 2008, the iPhone 3GS in 2009, followed by the iPhone 4 2010, iPhone and his successor placed in 2011. Although already replaced by the iPhone, we were still the iPhone 4 was the smartphone that changed the trends and competition of the entire smartphone in its entirety.
Riding off the iPhone 3GS in 2009, which continues to be selling well on this date, iPhone 4 increase smartphone Apple's flagship and a step further by introducing the appearance of the retina. Sporting an all time high resolution video 960 x 540 pixels that yields 326ppi's picture quality, this record is still unbeaten in any other smartphone or tablet, on this matter. Hence its name, the screen resolution should be so steep that the retinas of our eyes would not be able to discern the individual pixels. Indeed, this promise is fulfilled, as the show is really clear and sharp in this resolution, with text and fonts that are as good as printing and graphics, web pages and photos really can be implemented by the 3.5-inch touchscreen. With a good resolution, probably was surprised that his successor iPhone 8s still sports the same resolution, since it is much more doubtful how can be improved further, or if it is even worth the improvement at all in the first place, since presumably our eyes would not be able to tell the difference!
With the same 3.5-inch touchscreen as last 3GS iPhone, iPhone 4 is enhanced with a faster A4 processor operating at 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM. Although both the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 supports the latest iOS 5 released by Apple, is substantially upgraded with speed and specification in moving from the iPhone 3GS the iPhone 4 is really a huge step forward in terms of pure performance, despite the existence of the same basic functionality. This basically means that while the iPhone 3GS can pretty much do what the iPhone 4 may, but the iPhone 4 certainly needs much better, with a larger screen and an even faster and smoother stain experience is a trademark of Apple iOS.
With an upgraded camera of 5 megapixels, you now can record video in HD 720 p resolution, this certainly completes the entire suite can upgrade that made the iPhone (4) a gaming device rotation after 2010. Since then, almost all competitors, from Samsung Galaxy S2 HTC sense and so on were getting in 2011, in response to the iPhone 4. While some of these other top weapons could have been crowding the iPhone 4 spec one or two (in which Angel replied with iPhone 9s), the fact remains that no other smartphone date can match the slickness and ease of use of the Angel iOS 5 works with iPhone 4, if were not placed on the iPhone. Although now in second place behind iPhone's successor, placed, the reality is that the iPhone only 15s features strengthened from the iPhone 4, with a single processor A5, speech recognition, a 8MP camera and a camcorder 1080p.
The coefficient 4 iPhone format is still dependent on the 8s so far, which might prove Apple's desire to preserve what is desired by its users. Although the touchscreen 3.5-inch may seem a tad small when compared with some of the monitors popular 4-5 inch, Samsung and HTC, size is a subjective trade off between screen visibility and portability. The iPhone 4, which was reshaped into a more rectangular slate with a polished metal frames on the edges of certainly has packed the right premium feeling for iPhone 4 ever as appropriate to that date, and that certainly has set the benchmark for most smartphones to come.

The Apple iPhone 4 is the world's most popular smartphone.

But why is this? This article will look at why this device has sold so many

units, and why users love the iPhone 4 so much. Given the sales of previous

iPhone models, it is clear that the success of the iPhone 4 is no fluke. Why

has the iPhone 4 proven so successful? Here are my thoughts on the subject...

iTunes Integration & Built In iPod

As with the previous iPhone models, users require iTunes to

be installed on their computer to active their iPhone. So from the start, all

iPhone users have iTunes. Apple has cleverly used this to allow users have

instant access to virtually any music track, movie, TV show etc. And the fact

that every user has an iTunes account which can be accessed on the phone means users

are merely seconds away from downloading anything available in the iTunes store,

straight to their phone. The fact that the device also doubles up as an iPod

means that users have the unique customization and library features of the

innovative iPod touch. With iPhone 4 models starting at 16GB users can store

their entire music collection on their phone. Whilst competing smartphones

offer similar systems, nothing comes close to Apple's products in terms of

simplicity and ease of use. Rival companies may be catching up when it comes to

offering downloadable music, but Apple has the edge as iTunes was available

before the first iPhone. This has given them the chance to make leaps and bound

in this respect whilst others are just starting to offer similar services.

AppStore

Obviously, the AppStore is one of the major selling points

of the iPhone 4. The manufacturer has even dedicated TV adverts to this aspect

of the phone, rather than advertising the iPhone itself. The AppStore is no

doubt responsible for the majority of the iPhoneĆ¢€™s success. The AppStore offers

users hundreds of thousands of applications (at the time of writing, there are

over 350,000 available, and Apple recently announced its billionth App

download), ranging from free to several hundred dollars. Apps from several

different categories are available, and therefore, users can enhance every

aspect of their device as well as truly make it their own. In fact, it is

doubtful that there are many iPhone users who only have the pre-installed apps

on their device. Apps are big business; an example of a successful App is

Angry Birds. This is a simple strategy game which only costs £0.59 or $0.99,

and has been downloaded over 12 million times. Of course, there is much more to

the AppStore than just games. There are productivity tools which can make the

iPhone 4 an invaluable companion in the workplace. Additionally, many location

based services are available. SatNav apps can be downloaded, essentially

replacing the need for a separate device, and the same can be said for

standalone MP3 players and digital cameras. It would be impossible to cover the

enormity of the content available on the AppStore, but there is no doubt that

its contribution to the success of the iPhone 4 is vast.

Of course there is much more to the iPhone 4 than the

ecosystem which Apple has created for it. It can do just about everything than

any other smartphone can do. I personally think though, that a major

contributing factor to its success is the fact that a single iPhone can replace

numerous devices such as a digital camera, MP3 player, SatNav unit and to some

extent even a laptop.

The question on everybody's minds is what can we expectfrom the iPhone 5?  We can only anticipate.

Apple iPod Nano

Apple is easily the most well known name in MP3 players or personal music players. The iPod has taken the music world by storm and each time a new one is released it seems to break all previous barriers. Initially, they were slightly larger than their counterparts but they were hard drive based and so held thousands and thousands of songs but with the introduction of the iPod Nano this soon became a thing of the past.

The iPod Nano uses Flash based memory and so it is infinitely smaller. In fact, it is as thin as a pencil. The iPod is popular for a reason though. As well as being durable and very advanced it features access to iTunes. ITunes is the Internet’s largest music store and allows iPod users to download tracks to their computer or to their MP3 player.

ITunes has also become huge in terms of popularity. The 2GB Nano allows the storage of up to around 500 songs, the 4GB Nano 1,000 songs. They are both available in either black or white and despite their miniature size they are hardy and resistant to general wear and tear. With predictions that the next iPod to be released will be the video iPod, Apple once again look certain to take the portable media device to yet another level. Buying an iPod now also requires buying into an iPod.

Those who own them love them, but there are some that are skeptical due to its price being quite high compared to other MP3 players and the fact that they feel they are paying for the Apple brand.

However, the iPod is an excellent personal audio player and you will have to go a long way to find one that is as good and offers a service similar to iTunes.

Apple IPhone Specifications

The Apple iPhone was officially announced by Apple CEO Steve Jobs during his keynote speech at the Macworld Expo in early 2007.
The iPhone is Apple's first move into the mobile phone industry, boasting vast multimedia features including a camera, media player and an array of internet services - the iPhone is highly anticipated.
With a scheduled US release date of June 2007 (other regions not yet confirmed), the phone will be available in two models. The first being a 4 GB model retailing at US$499 and its big brother the 8 GB model retailing at US$599.
To bring you up to speed on the Apple iPhone here's a guide to the hardware, software and the features this new Apple product has to offer.
The Full Technical Specification:
Screen size: 3.5 inches
Screen resolution: 320 by 480 at 160 ppi
Input method: Multi-touch
Operating system: OS X
Storage: 4GB or 8GB
GSM: Quad-band (MHz: 850, 900, 1800, 1900)
Wireless data: Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) + EDGE + Bluetooth 2.0
Camera: 2.0 megapixels
Battery: Up to 5 hours Talk / Video / Browsing, Up to 16 hours Audio playback
Dimensions: 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.46 inches
Weight: 4.8 ounces / 135 grams
Functionality:
The iPhone boasts a whopping 3.5-inch touch screen display designed specifically for use with your bare hands (the touch screen relies on bare skin so the need for a stylus is simply not there). To input text the iPhone uses a virtual keyboard allowing the user to quickly and easily input their desired text. As you would expect the virtual keyboard has all the functions you would expect, auto spell check, predictive text, dictionary etc.
A key feature of the iPhone's navigation and functionality is the scroll feature. Similar to the iPod scroll wheel the movement allows you to quickly and easily move through the menu's, the wheel can be "spun" by sliding a finger over the display - the faster the 'spin' the quicker the menu or item is navigated through.
Features:
As you would expect the iPhone has all the usual features you'd expect from any standard Cell phone including conferencing, call holding, call merging, caller ID, email and all the rest.
The iPhone also includes a 2 Mega Pixel built-in camera that will allow you to record and capture video and still images and using the provided software transfer these to your PC or Mac.
The most appealing feature of the iPhone is it's incorporation of its big brother the iPod MP3 player. Similar to the 5th generation of iPods the iPhone can handle video playback as well as a music library.
Online:
The iPhone also has online capabilities due to its built-in WiFi technology. With the assistance of a wireless network the iPhone can display full web pages using the Safari browser rather than simplified WAP style pages. As well as browsing the internet, the iPhone is capable of sending and receiving email thanks to its HTML email application.
Operating System:
According to Apple an optimized (slimmed down) version of the popular Mac OS X Operating system will work fine on the iPhone although they haven't as of yet gone into any specifics on this, nor has the process been officially explained.
Apple has commented in the past that OS updates for the iPhone will be very smooth and work in a similar way to the iPod and Mac OS X updates. Like the OS X Dashboard Apple revealed the iPhone will support various Widgets for example, stocks and shares and weather modules.
Miscellaneous Features:
As you would expect the iPhone features a built-in non-replaceable battery unit just like the iPod and is capable of providing up to 5 hours of video playback, voice calls or web browsing. Music playback is around the 16 hours mark.
At the end of the day, the iPhone is going to be useful to those who will use its features. With the market for Blackberries constantly on the rise and the market for iPods continually growing, I think the product that Apple are offering will be picked up and valued by a wide range of people. It converges together the practical and the fashionable, which is a very difficult thing to do. It might be a big investment, but if you are going to use it the iPhone is excellent value and a sound investment that you will find yourself turning to throughout the day for entertainment, information and more besides.

Using an Apple iPhone in Canada with Rogers or Fido

Using An Apple iPhone in Canada

I've had many people come up to me and ask, "Where did you buy your iPhone in Canada?" My answer to them is, "I didn't buy my iPhone in Canada! I bought it from Seattle, WA, and unlocked the iPhone myself!". Yes, that's right folks. The majority of iPhones in Canada have been purchased by Canucks who went down to the States to purchase them. After that, they either unlocked the iPhone in Canada themselves, or paid someone to unlock it for them.

What Mobile Networks Work With An iPhone in Canada?

There are two GSM networks in Canada. The first, is Rogers. The second, which is owned by Rogers, is Fido. These are the two networks you can use your iPhone in Canada with. It's a very simple process to hook up your iPhone in Canada. The first thing is to get your hands on an iPhone. Once it has been "jailbreaked" (iTunes activation has been bypassed) and "unlocked" (opened to be used with any GSM network; ie--Fido, Rogers, etc.), all you have to do is pop the SIM card tray out of the top of the iPhone with a paperclip, and insert your Rogers or Fido SIM card. Turn your phone back on and--VOILA! You will now have a working iPhone in Canada! However, new iPhones in Canada with iPhone firmware 1.1.2 cannot be software unlocked at the moment. The only way to unlock these iPhones is to use a TurboSIM method, which requires a slight modification of your SIM card which then fits into a "tray" that slides into your iPhone. This "tray" tricks your iPhone and allows it to be used with any GSM network in Canada (or the world!)

What Features Work on the iPhone in Canada?

Every single feature works on your "jailbreaked" and "unlocked" iPhone in Canada! The only feature that does not work is "Visual Voicemail," however that feature is only available to AT&T subscribers in the USA. YouTube, WiFi, EDGE, Camera, Weather, Stocks, iPod, Calculator, Mail, Google Maps, SMS, and all the other features work with your iPhone in Canada. However, depending on what firmware you are running, your SMS voicemail notifications may not work with Rogers or Fido. Users on firmware version 1.1.1 can install a 3rd party application that will allow for the iPhone to receive SMS voicemail notifications. There are also 3rd party applications to send MMS messages, install games, and other fun programs! The possibilities are endless!

Are There Any Hidden Costs to Using an Unlocked iPhone in Canada?

The answer is NO! Many people have been scared by the recent news reports of users being billed up to $50,000 for a cell phone bill, due to overusing a data plan! That is NOT the case with your iPhone in Canada. All you have to do to prevent being billed is to remove the EDGE settings in your iPhone, and you will not be charged a DIME! By the time your iPhone is in Canada, the EDGE settings for Rogers and Fido will not be entered into the iPhone's settings anyways--so you'll be safe for now!

I hope this article has helped you understand more about using an iPhone in Canada. If you want the latest unlocking guides, news, tips, and tricks about using the iPhone in Canada, please visit the blog, iPhone in Canada!

The ONLY authority on using an unlocked iPhone in Canada is-- iPhone in Canada!

Win a Ipod nano for free playing spot the ball

Step-by-Step Tutorial teaches several different options for how to build iPhone/iPad Apps, shows how Windows users can create apps too! Guide walks users through Entire process of creating app, preparing acct for submission and then uploading for review.
Check it out!
Have you recently bought an iPod? Or are you on the verge of buying one? Take a look around next time your out and about. iPods are becoming as prolific as cellphones. Of course they are!
The iPod is such a great gadget! Do you know the first thing you must do after buying an iPod? You need to protect it! Most people don't. Even though the iPod owner spends as much as $30 - $60 USD on iPod accessories. That's 30 to 60% of the original iPod price. The majority of people are buying fancy accessories such as fm transmitters, docking stations, wireless remote kits. Don't get the wrong idea these are great gadgets BUT the first accessory you should be buying is protection for your iPod.
Get the basics before getting the fancy goods. iPod skins and cases come in a huge variety of styles and quality. Whatever your style - there is a case for you!
By purchasing a Skin or Case you'll be protecting your iPod from these common problems:
* Click wheel scratches
* iPod screen scratches.
* Mirrored back scratches.
Despite the superiority of the Apple iPod, it still suffers from some major issues. Being easily scratched and short battery life. These issues lower the resale value of an iPod. This may not seem important but if you want to trade in your older one for a newer one, these things will matter. Aside from that, who wants their own pristine, beautiful iPod all scratched up? Every time you take your iPod out of your pocket it causes microscopic scratches!
There are many accessories out there but most do not fulfill the basic needs of your iPod.
Protection.
You need to protect your iPod before anything else. Make sure you first equip your iPod with a good quality case, skin, or sleeve.
The most popular iPod cases are as follows:
Cellphone sleeve converted to a case. This is the most common and are most easily available. Unfortunately the mirrored back of the 3G and 4G iPod are easily scratched by the sleeve as the rub against it. If you can afford a 3G or 4G iPod then you can afford not to go this route.
Protect your purchase and buy something specifically for your iPod.
iPod Silicone skin.
This is the most common case today. They come in every shape and size, color and texture. Be aware though there are mass produced low quality cases produced in China with questionable materials that tear easily. The cheap silicone skins also pick up dirt and lint easily. The Apple iPhone – Downloads and Piracy

One of the biggest things that customers want they purchase a cell phone is simplicity. People want to make their calls quickly and they need to be able to access their contact lists without a fuss. The Apple iPhone makes this easy. This is why is has become so popular. That popularity has its downfall. There are many programs that can hack into the iPhone and undo the security that Apple has put into it. So what is the link between with the Apple iPhone, downloads and piracy?

It is amazing that Apple has been able to pack so many features into one small device. The Apple iPhone includes widgets. These are simple but powerful programs that allow you to keep tabs on things like the weather, stocks, news and more. Everything that you could want or need to know is right there, available for you to use whenever you need it.

Apple knew that downloads for their iPhone would be a hot commodity. Other software manufacturers and programming gurus know this too. They are getting into the downloadable software scene too. Many websites are geared to the iPhone user. To find them all you need to do is search for them using your favorite search engine. Some iPhone-approved websites are member's only sites that offer unlimited content such as videos, movies, music, games, and more. These websites also have free iPhone themes that you can load onto your iPhone. On many iPhone sites, there are no download restrictions on content, music, games or other items than can be transferred to your iPhone. The only limitation is the space available on your phone. You might even be able to find a website that offers a membership bonus, like the free software or CD's.

A popular feature with the iPhone is the ease in downloading. This is not always easy however. Sometimes the iPhone can balk at high download speeds and takes can take its time. Slow transfer rates frustrate many iPhone users. Many younger users are used to instant downloading. Slow speeds frustrate them. For teens and those in their early 20's, 15 seconds is a long time. Knowing about potential lags in download time allows you to plan your downloads during off-peak hours. This is the case with any download from the internet.

iPhone approved websites as well as non-approved (pirate sites) give you a plethora of download options. There is a good reason to use an iPhone-approved website. These sites ensure the highest standards in MP3 downloads and they assure their membership that no malware will be hidden contained in downloads or on the website. If you are more adventurous and very careful about spyware and the like, you can use unauthorized websites. Unless your phone has a problem, it may not seem like a big deal to use unauthorized software. However, if you run into a problem, Apple will void the warranty and they may lock your phone. This is one way that the Apple iPhone, downloads, and piracy are all related.

Apple does not allow others to produce software for the iPhone. This is due to their proprietary operating system. However, third parties can produce peripheral devices (like headphones and docking stations). Those restrictions never bother hackers (both white and black hats). Not surprisingly, hackers have broken into the iPhone's code. This is why you see ads for "unlocked" iPhones. Pirated software disables the internal "firewall" of the iPhone, thus making it possible to use other cell phone providers other than AT&T. Apple is working at a frenzied pace on a firmware update to curtail pirating.

The apple iPhone, downloads, and piracy are hot topics on the internet. If you are looking for expert advice for your iPhone, look no further than the internet. You can find many blogs and websites with important iPhone information. This is peripheral that combines function, fashion and form into one. With a statement that an iPhone makes, why not see if an iPhone will work for you.

Apple iPhone and AT&T

The Apple iPhone and AT&T, is exclusivity a good thing? The answer to the question depends on what side of the market you fall. If you are a consumer, exclusive agreements are rarely a good thing. On the other hand, if you are a retailer or provider of services, exclusive contracts can help increase profitability and market share. Here is a discussion of both sides of this coin.

Apple entered into an agreement with AT&T so that AT&T is the official and exclusive provider of cell phone service for Apple's highly coveted iPhone. If you happen to be Apple or AT&T this is a great thing. Apple makes money off of the sale of every iPhone and it collects royalties from AT&T for every cell phone contract sold to an iPhone user. Not a bad deal for Apple. AT&T profits because in theory every Apple iPhone sold will have to activate an AT&T cell phone agreement. Nice piece of the cell phone service pie for AT&T. As far as these two companies go, there is a lot of money to be made from this agreement. Furthermore, it saves Apple the hassle of having to make different phones or different SIM cards for all of the major cell phone service providers. From the perspective of Apple and AT&T this is a great arrangement. However, this agreement of the Apple iPhone and AT&T has opened up the door to a massive hacking movement. I am not sure that this is such a bad thing for Apple, although they claim different. Owning and using an unlocked phone is a status symbol in itself. A way of "sticking it" to corporate America. Apple may just be selling more phones because of this. It is free and effective advertising resulting in sales for Apple. I'm sure AT&T does not appreciate the hacking, as they have nothing to gain from it. This is the corporate end of the Apple iPhone and AT&T equation.

What does the exclusive agreement with the Apple iPhone and AT&T mean to the consumer? It means that there is a limited way of acquiring this phone. If you already have a relationship with a cell phone service provider other than AT&T and do not wish to change, then owning an iPhone is going to be difficult. What if you love the iPhone's music and content features but do not want to use it as a cell phone. The Apple iPod does not offer internet access. One of the main selling points of the iPhone is internet abilities and music functionality. If you love MP3's, videos, TV shows, and movies then the iPhone is a dream come true. However as soon as you go to open up your iTunes account and plug your phone into your computer you will be asked to sign up for AT&T's cell phone service with your credit card. If you do not pass their credit check or if you do not want to use AT&T this limits you and actually excludes you from using the iPhone. In this scenario the Apple iPhone and AT&T agreement is bad for consumers because it limits free and open competition in the marketplace. AT&T has no incentive to offer any deals on cell phone service to iPhone customers.

However, no one likes to be excluded not even once. Stating you have an exclusive agreement is an open invitation to every hacker on earth to prove your agreement is not exclusive and they will find a work around. This is exactly what has happened and in this case the consumer may have a partial victory. There are free unlocks available for your iPhone on YouTube for versions of their firmware up to 1.1.3. There are software programs available for under $100 that will unlock your iPhone in seconds, with just a few clicks. An unlocked phone will work with T-Mobile and AT&T in the US or on any other standard GSM cell phone network. All you will need ids the correct SIM card. In addition, with the unlocks available, you do not have to use the cell phone service at all. You will still be able to download content to your phone either via your computer or via WiFi. Furthermore, you can get Skype VOIP service for your iPhone and get around the whole cell phone issue entirely. This is how the Apple iPhone and AT&T agreement has ended up. It looks like in the long run AT&T could be the loser.

Music On The Go With The Apple iPhone

Some people say that variety is the spice of life. This is very true. It is also true for music. In addition, if you have an iPhone there is no better way to have your music on the go. It does not matter where you are heading off to; everyone wants music in his or her life. Taking it with you is definitely the way to go. Having your music with you is almost a requirement these days. Once upon a time you would need to schlep around a CD player with you. Now, with the iPhone, your music is always close at hand. Today you can have music on the go with the apple iPhone.

The portable CD player is now a thing of the past. Digital music is available as MP3's. These files are easily carried with you be it in a MP3 player or an iPhone. As an Apple iPhone owner, you can bring all of your favorite music with you, and it is right there at your fingertips. Those of you who have the Apple iPhone do not have to fret about having to bring along a separate MP3 player to listen to your music. All of the tunes you love to listen to are right there on their cell phone. The music is available to play whenever and where ever you are ready to listen to it. When it's time to rock out, you are ready to roll.

The Apple iPhone makes retrieving your favorite tunes a snap. Just a touch of a finger and you can quickly browse through all of your music. You can sort and retrieve it by play lists, albums, artists, or songs. How you organize it is up to you. What if you cannot think of the album name? If you remember what the album looks like you can use program such as Cover Flow to make it easy for you to locate your favorite albums based on the graphics presented on the album cover. It's more than just music on the go with the Apple iPhone, it's an entire music library.

Do you like karaoke? If you love to sing a long with your favorite song but the words elude you fear not, as long as you downloaded the music from iTunes, you can have the words appear right there on the screen. It's not a phone, it's a personal karaoke machine, compliments of your iPhone. It really doesn't get any better than this.

Wait a minute, you don't have an iPhone? Where can you get one? Go to any AT&T store, they will have them. On the other hand, you can get them online. These phones may be smart, but they are quite expensive. Be sure to check for bargains no matter where you shop. In addition, take the time to get insurance on them. If they break you want AT&T to foot the bill, not you. If you are not an AT&T customer, see if they will give you a good deal on an iPhone if you switch over to their service. The cell phone business is extremely competitive, so be sure to bargain and haggle with them. You will be surprised at what might happen. If you want your music on the go with the Apple iPhone, then you are going to need and iPhone to be on the go with. Buy one, enjoy it and listen to all the music you can possibly fit onto a single phone.

The Apple iPhone - Super Phone or Super Hype

The Apple iPhone, super phone or super hype? Is this cell phone really the complete package that Apple purports it to be or is it all hype? Let us take a look at the facts and fiction about the Apple iPhone to see how it really stacks up against the advertising.

Ease of use, this is what Apple shows in all of its advertising. On this point, they hit it dead on. The Apple iPhone is extremely easy to use. If you can tap something with your finger or slide your finger along a screen you can use the iPhone without difficulty. For ease of use, the iPhone is a super phone.

Music listening and storage. As far as sound quality goes, the iPhone is great. A set of good quality stereo earbuds are required to enjoy the iPhone's sound quality. To complete the upscale look of the iPhone, perhaps a set of Bluetooth stereo earphones are in orders. In the category of sound quality and music playback capability, the iPhone is a super phone.

Storage is another feature that Apple hypes the iPhone. With 6 GB, 8 GB, and now 16 GB, this seems like a tremendous amount of storage. Here is where the downfall is, you cannot upgrade the memory or use external memory such as memory cards or sticks. Therefore you are limited by the amount of content you can have on your iPhone. You cannot take content with you. A work around could be to store content on an internet site and swap it out when you want it. Any teenager I know can blow through even 16 GB of music in an amazingly short amount of time. If you add in videos and TV shows, 16 GB becomes filled rather quickly. In the storage department, the Apple iPhone becomes hype instead of a super phone.

What about battery life. Here is where there is no hype at all: actually Apple has very little to say about the iPhone's battery. Here is why. You cannot change it. Most cell phones have a removable battery. This way if it dies, you change it out with a new one. The iPhone lacks this capability. Once that battery dies and will no longer hold a charge, you need a new phone. The reason Apple is so quite about the battery is probably due to the current litigation surrounding this. Is this hype or super phone? Neither one. The battery issue definitely does not qualify it as a super phone. Apple has said very little so there really is no hype involved. Perhaps we should just categorize this as buyer beware.

What about that touch screen? This is where you see the Apple iPhone hyped to the max. Is this super phone or hype? The touch screen is super sensitive. If your phone hits up against something in your pocketbook, or knocks into something while you are getting in and out of your car, you can end up calling people or having your iPhone do something weird. The touch screen does allow you to easily manipulate the iPhone. Overall, the touch screen ranks it as super phone not hype. Just be careful with it.

Next there is internet access. All of the commercials for the Apple iPhone show it as a super phone when it comes to internet access. You can use any WiFi to contact friends on Facebook or watch content on YouTube. Well, the browser needs better search capabilities. This is one area where the iPhone is lacking. Another is that the iPhone's browser does not store password. This was most likely a security feature that Apple built in. Personally, you are better off it does not store your passwords. In general WiFi networks are not secure, and you do not want your banking access information readily available to the public. Is this super phone or hyper. I will give them super phone on this one although it is not any different than any other smart phone out there.

The Apple iPhone, super phone or hype? It is looking like it comes out as a super phone. Especially if you want the music and internet capabilities.

The Apple iPhone for Business

If you view the advertising for the Apple iPhone, you would think that it is strictly for young adults to be used for pleasure. Most of the advertising focuses on the iPhone's entertainment value. They focus on music, video, and Facebook. Overall, not very business like. However, the Apple iPhone for business purposes is something you do not see advertised much. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the only service provider for the iPhone is AT&T and they are not looking to cut anyone deals on iPhone services. Nevertheless, the iPhone can be a useful business tool; one just has to decide if the cost is worth it.

Is using the Apple iPhone for business really a viable option? It can be. Your particular business situation will dictate if this phone is something your company should consider or if it will be impractical. There are situations where the iPhone will shine and then there are other situations that will make it totally impractical.

You should consider the Apple iPhone for business if you need to stay in contact with others constantly. This would include texting, chatting, email and cell phone communications. An ideal example for an iPhone in a business environment is a buyer for a retailer. When the buyer goes to shows or other purchasing events, using the iPhone as a camera to send potential product to management can give the competitive edge to your business. The fashion industry lends itself to iPhone use. If you are attending the fashion shows in order to see which designer lines to bring in, then the iPhone is what you need. You can snap a picture or take a video of the hottest items still on the runway, send them to purchasing and orders can be placed before the end of business that day. If your business thrives on having the latest and greatest designer fashion in your shop, then the sooner you can place orders for the upcoming season, the more profitable you will be. If you do not get the new styles in first, someone else will. Antique dealers and art collectors will benefit from having an iPhone. There is no better way to send pictures of art and antiques to clients and to your business than with an iPhone. When you are looking to make purchases, you can keep customer wish lists with you, along with their contact info. If you find something they are looking for, you can let them know before you make an offer on the item. In a sense, you are pre-selling your inventory! It does not get any better than that. These are some of the ways that using the Apple iPhone for business purposes can be profitable. This would justify the cost.

On the other hand, if you are in an environment that is less than safe for a sensitive device like the iPhone then using the Apple iPhone for business probably will not make much sense. Construction sites, factories, assembly lines, shipping and receiving departments, and anything near water are not favorable to iPhone usage. The touch screen is very sensitive. Dirt, debris, water, moisture, grease and oil are not friends of the iPhone or any other cell phone. Industrial environments are too tough for this delicate phone. It does not handle being dropped well. There is a high risk of breaking the screen or damaging the unit. This is really a phone for a less stressful environment. If this is your particular business situation, then using the Apple iPhone for business is not a wise investment.

Therefore, now that you understand which business applications are suitable for iPhone use and which are not, you can decide where your business fits in. Should you buy the Apple iPhone for business? If you can justify the high costs of the phones, and using AT&T for your business cell phone service the perhaps it is worth it. You are the one who knows your companies finances. If the iPhone fits in then you can consider it. However, if you are in an industry that tends to be rough on laptops and cell phones or if you require an industrial strength walkie-talkie phone due to your working environment, then using the Apple iPhone for your business is not a viable option. What should you decide on?
