A Summary Of Anticipated iPhone 5 Design And Features

With the eagerly anticipated release of Apple's iPhone 5 smartphone, there have been a number of speculations going on about its design and features. The iPhone 5 is obviously expected to have a good number of enhancements and advanced features compared to the iPhone 4. CPU capability, screen size, and camera resolution are some of the areas that are likely to see big enhancements. While the overall dimensions of iPhone 5 are expected to be smaller than iPhone 5, it is also expected that the screen size will be larger at 3.7 to 4.0 inches.
The beta version of Apple's iCloud Photo Stream program is likely to be included in the iPhone 5 since there is a differently designed iPhone icon compared to any other existing iPhone. It has a rectangular home button with the screen almost wholly using up the front of the screen. When this icon is enlarged for making a proportional comparison with the iPhone 4 design, it becomes obvious that the iPhone 5 has a smaller body size overall.
The CPU of the iPhone 4 had used the same chip (single-core 1GHz Apple A4 chip) that powered the original iPad. The CPU of the iPad 2 comprises of a dual-core 1GHz chip that's labeled Apple A5. If Apple chooses to follow the pattern they had opted for the iPhone 4, then it is pretty much possible that the A5 chip will be incorporated into the iPhone 5 smartphone. Owing to the enhanced CPU capability it is expected that user will not experience frame rate stutter with the background processes running in the iPhone 5. This frame rate stutter had been a sore point in the previous versions of iPhone. The enhanced CPU capability will also ensure that the new apps programmed for multithreading use run a lot faster.
The iPhone 5 camera is widely expected to have a much higher resolution of 8.0 megapixels compared to 5.0 megapixels photo resolution that was seen in iPhone 4. While the iPhone 4 had been a bit ahead of other competing high-end smartphones during its launch, most high-end smartphones these days have 8.0 megapixels photo resolution capability. It is no wonder than the iPhone 5 will follow suit or exceed.
The enhanced camera resolution is not a mere speculation. Good evidence, in the form of a photo of a plate of sushi recently located on the Internet, is available to confirm the enhanced camera resolution. There is nothing remarkable about the photo save the EXIF data that reveals that the photo was likely taken by the iPhone 5 prototype. The picture has been scaled down to 5.12 megapixels from 8.0 megapixels, but what's interesting is its geotagged location which is 1 Infinite Loop in Cupertino, California, Cupertino is widely regarded as Apple's headquarters. Another fact revealed by the photo's nature is that iPhone 5 uses a different lens compared to iPhone 4.
With all the above listed features and enhancement the iPhone 5 seems to be far more technically advanced compared to the iPhone 4.
