I happened to be on the set lately once they were filming "John Adams" the mini series. I used to be by an actor whose job it was to push a wheel barrow stuffed with vegetables around a corner within the very again of the scene. Hours and hours he waited for his cue, he would push his wheel borrow across the nook stroll about 20 steps, cease, wait and start over. He was so far back within the scene it wouldn't matter if he had been wearing a gown but each element was in place, each hair combed. His face would by no means see the light of day, but there he was, blissful and content to have any function at all. No wonder motion pictures take so long to make at such outrageous budgets.
